Chairman’s Members of the Month – October 2025

October, like many other months has proved a challenge to make a final decision, so I didn’t!! I have 2 members of the month from one end of the age groups to the other.

Imogen Beard has had a great year representing the club at U11 level, in track and field both individually and as part of our u11 competition squad where she excelled as one of our higher performing girls in the Wessex League, representing the club in the Oxfordshire Cross-Country League races, turning out to local Junior Parkrun events as well as participating in many one-off athletics events in the region. In October Imogen won the Fortius North Wiltshire & Swindon  schools cross-country event at Lydiard Park.

An excellent month and year for Imogen who is my youngest (so far) Member of the Month winner

Joining her this month is Lucy Morrison. Lucy recently ran a 2hr 48 minute marathon on 19th October in Amsterdam, knocking 13 minutes off her previous best, an outstanding achievement and new club record. And by coincidence both athletes finished October by competing in the Calne Clock Change Challenge. In the Junior 1.5km Race Imogen was 2nd overall while in the 10km race, Lucy was 1st overall lady braking the course record as well.

A great October and 2025 for both of them.

Well done Imogen and Lucy
