Membership/Track Fees 2017
A change to the current membership and track fees structure was approved at the AGM in November, moving away from the current method of paying separate annual membership fees (including the EA fee) and monthly or weekly track fees to a simpler all-inclusive monthly fee (payable by standing order) to include all these elements.
These changes would only affect track users, members who are solely road runners or only occasional track users will continue with the current structure of an annual membership fees and, if relevant, pay-as-you-go track fees.
All members would move across to these new fees with effect from 1st April 2017, similarly all new track based members from the 1st January 2017 would join under these new procedures.
Rates for 2017/18 are as follows (incl. the EA Fee which is rising to £14.00 on the 1st April 2017)
|Ages as at 31st August||Per month||Annual Cost|
|Junior 11 – 16||£12|
|Unaged Senior (age 17 and over)||£12|
|Senior/Vets (age 17 and over)||£12|
|Comments (All monthly fees to be paid by standing order)
Includes track fees which covers all training evenings (plus any additional sessions arranged by coaches and advised direct to athletes), club membership and EA affiliation fee.
When a waiting list is in operation if junior members do not attend for 6 weeks without advising the coach, they forfeit their membership and if relevant go onto the waiting list if they wish to re-join. There will be discretion for the committee to use in exceptional circumstances.
|Ages as at 31st August||Annual Cost|
|Senior/Vets (age 17 and over)||£26.50|
|For non-track users, eg, road runners. For occasional use of the track they would pay the standard £3.00 fee.|
Road Running training is free although some groups run a voluntary contribution scheme.
When training on the County Ground track fees are payable to cover the track hire payable to the Council. There are a number of ways of paying these:
- For 'Track' members - included in the monthly fee paid
- For 'Off Track' members - £3.00 per session
- For Non-Members - £5.00 per session (from 1st April 2017 - £4.00 until that date)
- New starters would only be able to pay the Non-Members track fee for 5 weeks after their initial free week, they will then be required to join the Club at that time.
- For visiting athletes, the non-member rate would be on-going
