Up to last weekend I was trying to decide between two or three of our athletes who should be the June member of the month. However, what Kalina Karacheva has achieved in June is unbelievable, especially when you consider the number of miles she has travelled as well.
In the first weekend in June Kalina won Gloucester schools, then following day competing for the Harriers, she won the High Jump in the Wessex league.
Next was the South West schools (in Exeter) where she won the 400m with a big PB and was also 2nd in the HJ. The following day she won 400mHurdles in our Southern League match in Chelmsford with another pb, as well as winning the HJ and competing in the relays. A lot of miles.
To finish June off she won the Bulgarian U20 championship with another fantastic 400m PB as well as a club record, and has got selected for the Balkan Championships.
A fantastic month for Kalina, managing to compete for her school, her county, her club and now for her country !!
