For the first time I am very pleased to be awarding my Member of the Month award to a senior lady.
Teresa Iannatelli has been a great performer for Swindon harriers for a number of years and now holds many of our track records from 200 to 400 and 400m hurdles, the 400m had stood for some 20 years, and the 400m hurdles record for 13 years to our current senior ladies team manager Keeleigh Chapman. So many pbs and club records for Teresa in just a few weeks.
Teresa broke the 400m record at the Welsh Champs at the end of last month, then won her two races at the SAL fixture in Abingdon on the 13th July, helping the club win the match. Last weekend she improved her PB and club record in the 400m hurdles twice at the English Championships, to first make the final and then finish a very creditable 7th in that race.
Teresa helps train some of our young sprinters on a Wednesday, putting time back into a sport she loves, she is a committed member of the club.
Congratulation Teresa, you are a great asset to the Harriers in many different ways.
