YDL Braunton Match Report

Our first YDL meeting of the season saw us travel down to Braunton in Devon.

In direct contrast to the meeting here last year where we enjoyed scorching weather this year brought howling gales which put the meeting in doubt due to safety concerns.

However the meeting did go ahead but unfortunately the Pole Vault was cancelled which was a big disappointment us opportunities to vault are always limited.

Competition for places at YDL are more competitive than ever and the lack of non scoring places are making selection ever more difficult.

We had as always big numbers and great strength in depth at U15G, excellent quality albeit with a lot less Athletes at U15B with the production line looking excellent at U13 level for both boys and girls.

The meeting was a great success with us securing victory by a huge 100 points and putting us on course to win the league for the 4th year in succession.

Great credit and thanks to all those who travelled down and competed. It's a long journey and the commitment to away matches are the difference between ourselves and some of our opposition.

Next YDL May 18th at Swindon
