England Athletics Decathlon, Manchester

Over the weekend of 4/5 August, Ben McIntyre (U17) competed in his first decathlon, in a high quality field of athletes from across the UK.

Thanks to Personal Best performances in four of the ten events, Ben’s total of 5061 points increased the club record by 486 points, as he finished in 11 position.

The next outing at a national standard meeting for this versatile teenager is 1500m steeplechase in the England Athletics T&F Championships at Bedford.
