Marlborough and District Junior Athletics club (MADJA for short), held a fund-raising competition on a rather fresh morning, on Sunday 29th April.

Giving opportunities to compete primarily to young athletes not part of our FUNdamentals 2018 competition squad, Swindon Harriers fielded 33 entrants aged from 7 through 10 years old. The athletes gained valuable experience, most of whom were competing in track-and-field for the first time. The events were 50m or 75m, 400m or 600m, standing long jump or long jump and the howler throw.

The club would particularly like to congratulate the following who placed in their class:

U9 Boys

• Laila Newdick (2nd place)
• Ella Nicholls (3rd place)
